Projects That "Grow" Over Time

Making a wood sculpture is a lot easier than it sounds. It’s a simple activity where we allow kids to take a scrap piece of wood and glue all sorts of materials together, such as feathers, pipe cleaners or cotton balls, to create a work of art.
A brainy breakfast should consist of foods that are high in protein like eggs and milk, and healthy carbohydrates, such as, plain yogurt with fresh fruit, whole grain cereal or pancakes and oatmeal. Children who begin the day with a brainy breakfast have a higher attention span and do better throughout the day.
Kids like worms because they’re strange creatures that move, breath and eat just like them. Kids like worms, also because they are interesting to look at and to touch. They love their slimy, soft bodies, and the way they wrap around each other. So making a worm farm would be a fun project for them, and also for you! You will see how easy it is to create a farm where kids can observe and study worms in their own habitat.
A felt board story can help make a story come to life. As an alternative to traditional storybooks, felt board stories can make a book interactive and allow children to become part of the story.
