Reading can be done with children of all ages, even babies. The infants will be listening to your voice -- hearing your tone and how enthusiastic you sound. Toddlers will begin repeating their favorite parts of the books and ask questions and repeat vocabulary. And preschoolers will also enjoy hearing some of their favorite books.
Today’s activity is Sticky Experiences – it’s something that’s fun and exciting for children, especially when they’re upset. Since kids are always told not to play with sticky things, allowing them to do it helps them relax and calm down.
Since playing with babies is a great way to encourage attachment, today’s activity involves playing the bonding game, “Peek-A-Boo” with infants.
Today’s activity involves making homemade surveys for kids to poll each other about what they saw and experienced during a walk. This is a great language development exercise because it will help them to see letters, numbers and words and speak and write too.
Today’s activity, “Red Light! Green Light!” is a favorite for kids, and it helps them practice skills that develop self-control.
